  4. Manifest Conflict: Manifest conflict occurs when the conflict becomes visible and is expressed through behaviors, actions, or verbal confrontations. Manifest conflict may involve overt disagreements, arguments, disputes, or clashes between parties as they seek to assert their positions or defend their interests.
  5. Conflict Resolution or Escalation: Following the manifestation of conflict, parties may either engage in conflict resolution processes to address and resolve the underlying issues or escalate the conflict through further confrontation, retaliation, or avoidance. Conflict resolution techniques include negotiation, mediation, arbitration, or collaborative problem-solving.
  6. Post-Conflict Stage: After the resolution or escalation of conflict, parties may experience a post-conflict stage where they reflect on the outcome, reconcile differences, and seek to rebuild relationships or move forward. Post-conflict activities may include reconciliation, forgiveness, conflict prevention, or ongoing communication to prevent recurrence.

It's important to note that conflict is not inherently negative and can sometimes lead to positive outcomes such as improved understanding, innovation, and growth. However, unresolved or poorly managed conflict can have detrimental effects on relationships, teamwork, and organizational effectiveness. Effective conflict management involves understanding the underlying causes of conflict, promoting open communication, fostering empathy and respect, and implementing strategies to address conflicts constructively and proactively.
