1. Discuss the recent historiographical approaches to understand the economic history of ancient period in India

2. Examine the factors which determined the agrarian environment of the Indian Subcontinent.

3. Discuss the major main features of Harappan economy. 

4. Examine the significance of coins to study the economy of Gupta and Satavahana Empires.

5. Write short notes on any two of the following. Answer in about 250 words each 

i Long distance Trade 200 BCE to 300 CE.

ii Irrigation: Early Medieval India

iii State’s claim on Agrarian Society 500-1300 CE North India

iv Land Rights- Tamil Region 300 to 1300 CE.

v Weavers, Textile production and Trade
