Characteristics of a Conversation -
1. Conversation is understood as an exchange
between at Least two interlocutors who share some degree. of mutual knowledge
determined by their socio-cultural background and whose communicative intention
triggers their interaction.
2. It is aw interaction in which the
interlocutors contribute to the construction of
a text, unlike the monologue, where only one person has control of the
constriction. That is why its character to dialogue is pointed out. But, they
do not do it at the same time but each one has their turn to speak.
3. The conversation caw revolve
around one or manly topics and is conditioned by the context. in an informal
situation these can vary easily and “ten prior organization. Dialoguers can
express their point of view and argue. Ow the other hand, in others, the
mentioned possibilities may be limited for one or, both actors.
4. As in any other shaved activity,
the first requirement ts that two or more people want to talk.

Greetings: They constitute in themselves a minimal oral exchange.

The questions: it is another common resource widely used to start a conversation.

Exclamations: These are other expressions that we use to start a conversation.
5. Participants
must cooperate for the interaction to be successful. This means that they must
agree to: maintain, or, change, the theme, the tong, the purposes of the
speech, etc.
